Very excited about making a 3D weaving at the Museum of Cambridge on Sunday 18th October from 10am – 6pm. We will be weaving the stories of the women who made work for the exhibition “Women, Unity, Strength”
I will be using furniture to weave stories about the frequent lack of safety in the home, particularly encountered by women and children. I am also hoping to weave stories about escaping the home.
I am hoping to damage these chairs further with nails, notches, grooves and other wounds and hold them together in tension to one another with the weaving.
