1 in 3 Global Refugees Were Palestinian Before the Genocide

I have been counting and drawing displaced people in the form of stick people onto these origami tents. I am working hard to reach one tenth of the estimated 632,700 people who have been forcibly displaced since March 2025 in Palestine (UNRWA). At least 1.9 million people, about 90 per cent of the population across the Gaza Strip have been displaced during the genocide. Many have been displaced repeatedly, some 10 times or more. Since the recent displacement orders were issued, more people have been forced to flee in search of safety. Thousands of people have been killed and injured whilst sheltering as refugees in UNRWA facilities. This will be part of the exhibition for The Independents Biennial in Liverpool.
